Facing Hyde Park, this privately-owned and recently renovated hotel is an ideal, good value base from which to explore the capital.

Conveniently located within easy access of Oxford Street, Marble Arch, Portobello Market and London’s famous attractions, the hotel is 2 minutes’ walk from Lancaster Gate station and 10 minutes from Paddington station, with Heathrow Airport just 15 minutes away via the Heathrow Express.

All rooms are of a modern design, with flat-screen TVs, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and all the modern amenities today’s travellers rely on. Single, double/twin rooms are available, in addition to triple and quad rooms for families and small groups.

The hotel is situated on Craven Terrace, a street famous for its Mitre Pub, location of 2 recent Woody Allen movies. A newsagent, laundrette, Italian restaurant and antique store are all located on the street, with a further selection of restaurants, cafes and shops nearby.

The bed was comfortable, there was a continuous supply of hot water, the room was clean and included an air conditioner and a new TV, breakfast food was always fresh and staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Extremely small rooms, the lift was being serviced, a little overpriced for the age of the hotel.

rooms too small - photos not representative. compact room was so small if you turned round in the shower your turned the water flow off (and no I am not a large person). No lift, 4 flights of stairs, scruffy decor, one skinny pillow on bed, basically not good faclities - would not use again.

Its location was ideal for a visit to London, close to Paddington
station and Hyde park

The hotel was still being refurbished with an upgrade to the lift. Rain
water leaked through the ceiling on the 2nd floor into our room and we
had to move rooms. The bar in the hotel was closed during our stay and
no english breakfast available.

Location very near Hyde Park, (but not facing Hyde Park, as advertised) in quiet neighbourhood. Near subway-station. Shower-room compact but clean.

Cramped thin walled basementroom, with window on streetlevel, rather light during nighttime. Lift out of order. narrow passages. No evacuationplan in room nor in passages exit-indications. No breakfast or tea around advertised closing time. Luggage storing facilities overcrowded. Some staff not helpfull.

Nothing to be honest even the location which was in front of the Hyde PArk was not accurate. the hotel is very old and very tight in area.

We had as a family a very hard time starting with the defected elevator which is under the maintenance for two months so the guests are supposed to carry their luggage over very steepy and narrow stairs till the fourth floor and there was a bill boy trying to help with the luggage. We were reserving couple of rooms and each was on a different level altogether, bad smell room, BF dont ask me! etc..

Location!! You can park at queensway metro parking for 20 pence till 2 pence per hour,mostly 90 pence....nearly by the metro lancaster gate.

4 peron room was veryy very small 2 meters on 4 meters maxmax,bathroom 1meter on 1 meter and thats it! for 4 persons.Good cheap solution if you go for 1 night or max 2 night and only if you use it for sleeping, not for anything else (badly breakfast)

1. Safety concern not addressed by staff - maid's cart blocked access to
my room; although I reported the hazard the staff did not move the
cart. 2. Full English Breakfast prominently advertised but not
