Set right on the banks of Venice's famous canals, this elegant hotel in classic Venetian style is located in the very historic centre, between Saint Mark's Square and Rialto Bridge.

Built from fascinating, unique historic structures, Starhotels Splendid Venice has its own side pier and can be reached by gondola or motor boat. You can enjoy romantic views of gondolas, Baratteri Canal, Rio dei Ferai Canal, typical bridges and facades of antique palaces. The main fashion district in Venice is just a few steps from the hotel.

The interiors of Starhotels Splendid Venice reflect a sense of luxury and tradition. The hotel features restaurant, café, panoramic rooftop terrace, library, music room, media room and a charming internal private piazza with glass walls and fireplace in winter.

The décor includes Venetian cut-glass mirrors and fine fabrics such as silk and velvet. Tones of pearl grey and light violet help to create a refined, delicate atmosphere. Recently renovated, guest rooms boast a revisited Venetian style with a modern touch – and all modern conveniences - while maintaining their old-fashioned charm. There are rooms with views of Venice’s rooftops, canals and of the hotel’s internal piazza.

Recently renovated, the hotel’s position along the canal provides an ideal location to admire Venice.

Whether from the music room, media room, cafè, restaurant, library or partially covered roof-top terrace, you can enjoy panoramic views.

The hotel also offers typical Venetian spaces where you relax such as the Campiello lounge (typical outdoor square found between small Venetian streets and Venetian palaces). Found at the hotel’s centre, the Campiello lounge features large sliding glass windows so you can appreciate this intimate setting year-round.

Restauració

The Campiello Lounge, a typical Venetian courtyard, is in the middle of the hotel, connected to the bar and the restaurant. Bathed in natural light and, in winter, heated by a large fireplace, its style is the quintessence of unaffected elegance. It has a retractable glass roof and can thus be used all year round. “Le Maschere”, the hotel’s restaurant, is a charming and modern environment that offers you a breathtaking view of the canal while savoring your meal.
It features experienced staff, a high quality of cooking and an elegant décor. In a perfect amalgamation of ambience and gastronomy, typical Venetian cuisine is artfully combined with traditional dishes. With a pleasant atmosphere, the restaurant is ideal for dinners as well as cocktails. Giving onto the Campiello Lounge, the bar welcomes our guests into a stylish, intimate atmosphere. The lacquered furniture introduces eclectic elements of black and gold into the color scheme, warmly set off by the dark pink of the lampshades.

Starhotels Splendid Venice is located in the heart of the historical part of Venice, just in the city center and quite close to Piazza San Marco and the Rialto Bridge.The hotel can be reached by gondola or by water taxi from any point of arrival (Train Station, Piazzale Roma, Airport), mooring onto the private pier. From this spectacular position, one can enjoy a breathtaking view of the historical center of Venice which is dominated by the famous bell tower of San Marco. All the main fashion shops are only a few steps from the hotel.

Friendly staff, lovely restaurant and bar area. Great location just a little hard to find for the first time but so are most places in Venice

The location was excellent, staff friendly and room very nice.

No self-ironing facilities (but this is common to all Italy).

Have stayed a number of times at the Splendid Suisse and would do so again and recommend it to friends. Very well situated with rooms well styled although a bit small. The dining room was excellent and staff most helpful. Beautiful since being renovated especially dining room and bar areas. Bathrobes suppllied lovely touch but would be nice if bottle of water was left in room.

Hairdryer in bathroom very poor- breakfast was better on previous visit.

Fab hotel, fab staff, nothing to much trouble. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and would certainly go back. Central location great for st marks and the rialto. Comes highly recommended

This hotel is in an ideal location situated a few minutes in opposite directions to both St Marks Square and the Rialto Bridge.The hotel has recently been refurbished to a very high standard and most comfortable.All of the staff,especially Claudia and Lorenzo,were very pleasant and most helpful.I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Allthough adequate the buffet breakfast could possibly be more varied.

This is a gem. I have absolutely no complaints at all. The suite was lovely, with a little balcony; the room service was excellent; the staff was very helpful. The beds and pillows were perfect.

Not a thing. I highly recommend this hotel.
